It offers a few advantages over the 17, not to mention holster compatibility with the 19 and a more balanced feel, which is subjective, but lots of folks feel that way, including myself. If you are looking at which option to go with starting out, absolutely the G45 or 45 MOS is the way to go. With all that, if you have a G17 or G17MOS, does the G45 or 45 MOS make sense?. If there was such a detriment between them and their larger counterparts, G22/17 then it's likely those agencies would have switched over. Numerous LE agencies have been issuing the G23 and 19 for years as a duty weapon. The Legion benched 25 yard groups just over an inch and the Glock 34 did 2.5 inches. It seems to have a short takeup and reset for a factory trigger too.
